Changing The Diet Rules-10 Diet Rules To Break

December 26, 2011 2 comments

Have you ever heard the old saying that rules
are meant to be broken? Well, nothing stays
the same, things are always changing,
including dieting.

Yes, recently many dated diet guidelines and
myths are up for speculation. You’ve
probably heard all these silly rules before,
but experts weigh-in on the worthiness of
these supposed truisms – most of which
won’t help you lose weight or make dieting any easier.

10 Food Rules You Can Ignore:

1. Eating at night will pile on the pounds. The total
calories you consume over a 24-hour period or over
a week is what causes you to gain weight,
and when you eat these calories doesn’t matter.

2. It’s best to eat at the same times every day. Eat when you’re hungry,
not when the clock says it’s time to eat.

3. Dieting with a buddy always makes weight loss easier. Common goals may pay off
but weight loss is a personal journey.

4. Dietary fat keeps you feeling full longer, so you’ll eat less. Fat does take longer
to digest, but it will not help you control your appetite. Foods likely to fight off
hunger the longest are protein foods, followed by carbohydrates, then fats.

5. When you blow your diet, you might as well wait until the next day to get back on track.
Nothing could be farther from the truth- always try to get right back on track with your next meal.

6. Refusing food at a party or when visiting is rude. Turning down food that you know will
blow your diet is socially acceptable.

7. Skipping a meal every now and then will help you lose. Skipping a meal means you
will be so hungry at the next meal that you are likely to overeat. This can also help
lead to a slowdown of your metabolism.

8. Bread is fattening, nuts are fattening, pasta is fattening. Whole-wheat bread/pasta is a
great source of nutrients, and it won’t make you gain weight more than any other food with
the same number of calories.

9. All calories are equal. This is somewhat true, however; you’ll get more nutrients
from a 100-calorie apple than from a 100-calorie portion of white bread.
Choose healthier items if you are losing weight, or controlling your hunger.

10. If you don’t clean your plate, you’re wasting food. If you just don’t feel right
leaving the table until you’ve cleaned your plate, underestimate your hunger and
put less food on your plate to begin with, or you may overeat.

Don’t believe everything you hear! Much of it is just superstition. Now you can
tell your friends the real truth. In the end, nutrition experts say, many of the food
and dieting rules we hold dear are meant to be broken – without guilt!

It’s always safe to use your common sense when thinking about dieting. However whenever
you need help always search great resources. I’m willing to share one resource with you

Residual Income…Is It A “Myth?”

December 21, 2011 1 comment

Well yes!…at least most of the time.

What am I talking about?  It’s simple,
95% of people who get involved in
the industry of network marketing
get started to make money, and
could care less about the product.

That’s right!

If someone believes they can make
money with it, it could be a box of
old, used shoes and the masses will join.

Kind of sad – but if we take a cold, hard look at reality we can prepare ourselves
for the best, and the worst of this industry.

So what effect does it have on residual income, you might ask?

It’s simple.  In most companies, only 10% of the company will fall in love with
the product – and only 5% will make money.

Guess what the remaining people will do with their autoship?

That’s right – 85% will cancel it in 2 years. (That means crappy residuals, if you
didn’t pick up on it)

Up until this point, the fortunes that have been made in network marketing
have haven’t really been residual income, they’ve been promotional income – that
is income that is based off of masses of people flocking in to the company faster
than they leave.

I’ve got a quick question for you – what would happen to your residual income
if people liked getting the product so much, that 94% of them stayed on it, not on
a monthly basis, but every year?

Watch this to figure out what the heck I’m on about!!

I learned something a long time ago in this industry, and that is that people do
what they want, not what they should.

People SHOULD take vitamins, but they don’t want to. People SHOULD be involved
in personal growth, but they don’t want to.

Remember:  “People Do What They Want, NOT What They SHOULD.”

What if you had a product that everyone wanted? Ha, ha.  Game on.

Residual income becomes real. AND Not a MYTH!

What Do You Believe About Life ?

A Notion To Struggle…

Most people are conditioned to believe that life is supposed
to be hard and it was designed to be a struggle. Somehow we got
the notion to struggle means you are more courageous and strong.

Struggle can compare to taking a cross country trip in your car with the
emergency brake on. Sure, you may get there, but you are burned out
and you have missed most of the fun sights on the way there.

How many inspirational stories have you heard about people who have
“struggled against all odds” to become successful? How often do we
hear positive things about the people who are successful because they DO
NOT struggle?  Struggle is life’s treadmill and is highly over rated.

The need to struggle and effort to get what we want is an illusion,
and like all other illusions or assumptions by their very nature
they keep us from seeing the truth that’s right in front of us.

Struggle is trying to rearrange the world so that it aligns with
the way you think it should be. It is the greatest source of
unhappiness in our world today. It happens when you focus on what
you perceive you don’t have, instead of embracing the things you do have.

We live in a time of striking contrasts. There is tremendous
prosperity for some and outrageous poverty for others. We have so
much available to us, yet we continue to strive for more and more.

So We must make a paradigm shift and see abundance, prosperity
as a mind set. Abundance is waking up to the reality that you are
already the person you yearn to become and that you already have
everything you need right now in this moment.

The denial or the resistance to who you really are is the thing
that keeps you struggling. Abundance is about falling in love
with whom and where you are. It is focusing on all that you have
and not losing yourself in all that you don’t have. In the end it
is this thought that allows you to create anything you desire.

Hopefully this brings you a new awareness. Try looking for the
good in all things and you will see evidence that you don’t need
to struggle. Be grateful and know that you are making progress,
whether large or small.

6 Fitness Tips For Gaining A Perfect Shape

December 19, 2011 2 comments

Achieving peak fitness will improve your mind, body and health. And these fitness tips will help you to get awesome results.

Cross-Train: Cross training involves using several types of exercise in one workout. It’s great because you don’t have time to get bored, every single muscle in your body is used and it reduces the risk of injury.

Try Something New:  When you’ve followed the same exercise routine for a while, it can become a bit stale. When this happens, one of the best fitness tips is to incorporate something new into your routine.

You could become involved in a team sport, invest in some high quality home fitness equipment, or DVD’s, or try a new outdoor activity. Doing this will give you renewed enthusiasm and prevent you from giving up on your fitness regime altogether.

Adjust Your Fitness Plan According to the Season:  If you’re not careful, the weather can really play havoc with your fitness plan. Running may not seem so appealing in the hot sun, or the freezing winter. And dark winter nights may make a journey to the gym seem suddenly unappealing.

One of the top fitness tips shared by those who are dedicated to regular fitness is to plan ahead for the season. Think about what you could do to adjust your fitness plans for the weather, and put them into action long before you think about giving up.

Don’t Skimp On Stretching:  When you’re short on time, it’s all too easy to skip stretching before and after your workout routine. Don’t be tempted to do this yourself, as the results could be fatal.

Missing one stretching session could result in an injury that could ruin your fitness plan for weeks. And while you’re unable to exercise, the body you’ve worked so hard for will deteriorate.

Exercise to Music You Love:  Take the time to put an MP3 together that includes music that you love to exercise to. This is one of the ultimate fitness tips as recent research has shown that listening to music you enjoy actually increases dopamine levels, and makes you feel happier.

Feeling happy increases your motivation and enjoyment and encourage you to work extra hard.

Keep a Progress Record:  Reminding yourself of what you’ve achieved will encourage you to keep up your fitness regime and aim for new fitness goals.

Following these fitness tips will help you to stay fit and healthy and get the body you have always dreamed of.
Explore other ways to enhance your fitness training by adding  natural nutrition to your regime.

How Will The World Remember You?

October 14, 2011 1 comment

The recent passing of Steve Jobs was definitely a sad
occasion. During his time on earth, Steve made a huge
impact upon the world. His brilliance, creativity  and
presence will surely be missed.

His massive contributions to the world of technology will
live on forever. As I’m thinking about Steve’s contributions
and what it meant to others. The question of “how will the world
remember me?” began to surface in my mind.

Have you ever thought about this as well? Do you have any idea
how much value you may be adding to the lives of others? I believe
we all offer more value than we give ourselves credit for.

Steve Jobs brought lots of value to the table of life. He and
his talents shall remain in our hearts with everlasting gratitude.

Are you sharing your gifts? How do you think the world will best
remember you? Think about it!
