Focus Concentration

Focus Concentration

Our last post was about acts
of kindness. The effect from
that week was incredible.
Much to my amazement the
acts of kindness are still flowing
in my life. Each day I am both
witnessing and performing great
deeds of kindness towards others.

Chapter 17 reminds us that we were
given dominion over all things by our
Creator. Including our mind and thoughts.
Seems only logical that when I have good
thoughts in my mind, the results are good. So it is
with continuous concentration. Every successful item, object or thing which has
ever been created, has been from the result of continuous concentrated efforts.

Many people don’t have a clue what concentration really is. Most times it is highly mistaken
as simply thinking. Haanel explains it this way. Continuous concentration means an even,
unbroken flow of thought and is the result of patient, persistent, perservering and well
regulated system.

I had a small experience recently with the use of continuous concentration. I had made myself
a grocery list of items I needed to pick up from the market. As I left the house and got down
the street, I then realized I had mistakenly picked up my list of “things to do for the day”
instead of my shopping list. I wasn’t about to return home to retrieve it, so I concentrated
hard the entire time, calling up my memory bank of what I had written on that list.

Whala! It worked! My subby reminded me of every item to get…nothing was omitted.

So what this lesson means to me is because we do create our own realities by the thoughts
we keep in our mind, If we would develop a continuous concentration of the desires we
really want in life, then our realities won’t disappoint us.  ~Continuous concentration.

Now, that’s really worth thinking about!!!!

Random Acts of Kindness

Week 16 was declared as a week of kindness by
mkmma. All members was to render random
acts of kindness daily an be aware of others
doing acts of kindness as we went about our
day for an entire week. We were to also go to
our forum and post what particular kindness we
engaged in or witness.

In the forum we were given the chance to comment on others
kindness performed as well. The participation was
ASTOUNDING! There was so much love shown throughout the week. It was an amazing
thing to see people sharing what transpired within their lives.

Real KINDNESS..Things like shoveling snow from a neighbor’s driveway, Paying the toll fees
for the next two cars, giving cash money to a stranger whose short at the cash register when
buying goods at the supermarket. Putting shopping carts back in the corral, when you didn’t
use them, making a love one a hot cup of tea just because, or letting your spouse sleep in
late, and so many more awesome gestures.

Even something as simple as a smile can mean the world to someone who really needs it at
that moment in time. This week of kindness went over so well with me, I invited my Facebook
friends to try it out for a week and see what happens.

Being kind is something that should be automatic anyway. We should be doing this 24/7
so, go ahead and start today, right now being kind one to another! Why? Because it’s the
right thing to do. The Bible says so.

Thanks for being kind,
